Meet the ITB Team

Gary Tarazi

President / CEO

Gary has been responsible for the overall management and growth of ITB since 1981. The company has grown more than tenfold both in earnings and personnel as a result of his leadership, strategic planning and fiscal oversight. Gary received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University. Away from work, he enjoys traveling, sports, music, arts, social events and participating in an investment club.

Joanne H. Tarazi

Chief Technology Officer

Joanne is responsible for overseeing the company’s IT systems and growing the firm through technology. She has been with ITB since 1983. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Master Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification. Her free time is spent traveling, music, exercising and Yoga, cooking, and hosting social gatherings.

Hikmat Hanna

Chairman of the Board

Hikmat Hanna, Chairman of the Board. Hikmat is a businessman, advising and investing in a number of ventures as well as serving on several boards of directors. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Agricultural engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. He is an avid Bridge player and enjoys trading stocks and watching sports.

Christopher Yacu

Senior Vice President

Christopher has been with ITB since 1990. He has played a significant role in helping the company achieve its financial goals and objectives and increasing its operating performance. His duties include preparing the budgets, creating business plans, and solving internal issues as they arise. Outside of the office, Christopher attends sporting events, goes hunting and fishing, and spends time with his family.

Eddie W. Tarazi

Vice President

Eddie joined ITB in 1993. He is responsible for overseeing all day to day activities for the company’s Michigan operation. Eddie has been on the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) board of Trustees for 5 years and currently serves as Secretary. His favorite activity outside work is spending time outdoors with his family.

Craig Gow

Sales/Estimating Manager

Craig joined ITB in 1993 and has over 39 years of experience in the construction industry in Michigan. He is responsible for the procurement of new work, special project estimates and maintaining client relationships. Away from the office, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Christy, their 2 children and 6 grandchildren.

Vlad Bednyak

Chief Estimator

Vlad joined the company in 1995 and is currently the manager of the estimating department. He has over 39 years of experience in the industry and mechanical engineering (specializing in R&D of HVAC systems). When not at work, Vlad keeps current with the latest engineering and technological advances and studies classical history, literature, music, art and photography.

Trina L. Handcox

Administrative Assistant

Trina has been with ITB since 1997. Her duties include providing various support services to the office staff, accounts receivable, sales and estimating departments. She is very active in her church and has a passion for traveling. Trina is an advocate for breast cancer research and volunteers with various groups and organizations to help fight the disease.

Kathy Batchelder

Office Administrator

Kathy has been a part of ITB since 1998. She has a wide variety of duties, including: administering all office activities along with preparing quotes and sales; TAB reports execution; and tracking compliance with all equipment calibration. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Kevin Karstedt

Project Sales Engineer

Kevin joined ITB in 2008. He has over 20 years of experience in HVAC, a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and 4 years of service in the US Navy. He interacts with commissioning agents, engineers, contractors, and building owners to facilitate a smooth and productive project through completion. In his spare time, he loves to travel, hunt, and fish.

Tina Rogers

Administrative Director

Tina has been with ITB since 2010, and she provides administrative support for upper management and sales. She also manages the accounts receivable function and facilitates effective information flow and the efficient use of resources throughout the organization. Tina loves anything that has to do with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Cubs.

Emily Collard

Project Coordinator

Emily has been a part of the Estimating Department since 2012. From the initial bid invitations to the final proposal, she is responsible for compiling plans, specifications and making sure our most competitive price is sent to our clients in a timely fashion. Emily has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from Eureka College. In her spare time, she looks for gigs as an “extra” in movies filmed in Chicago.

Andrew Skwiercz

Project Analyst

Andrew came to ITB in 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Michigan State University and served in the Peace Corps for 2 years. He coordinates and monitors all aspects of projects including proposals, budgets, analysis and variance resolution. He enjoys golf, photography, nature walks, fishing and spending time with his family.
